I honestly found all episodes available so far and watched them. So, tadaaa...
The bad things about the show:
1. Cleavages. No, not just cleavages, but CLEAVAGES.
I guess the first rehearsal (or how it's called) was already in the costumes and Mr. Horner was like 'I'm in! I'm totally in!'. On the other hand, who would not, in his place? I definitely would.
2. The dead ends with special effects. After a half of the 1st episode it actually became so bad, that for the rest of it I was trying to guess if it really is a forest, or CG generated picture again. Luckily, it slightly improved in later episodes.
Nevertheless, it's BAD, people. It's bad because it distracts you from the things which take place IN FRONT of that friggig blue screen.
3. The fights. Hullooo, we (and by 'we' I mean 'audience'
IT SUCKS.
4. Richard's habit of jumping (hi, slow motion) with his sword from high places. Seriously.
5. A lot of other minor things like the hilariously phallic looking, what's the thing's name, egils (egeels, igeels), lousy costumes (though I liked Zedd's costume and Richard's jacket collar), quite modern backpacks, and lack of sense and drive whatsoever. But that's minor, really
The good things:
1. The cast. Mr. Horner is a charming hillbilly (I really love to watch his mimics), Ms. Regal is as beautiful as an elven maiden from Tolkien's books and Mr. Spence is absolutely terrific (not to mention hilarious).
2. The droplets of humour that manage to break through the supposed epiciousness of it all. The 'Mirror' episode was a lovely distraction (again, bravo Mr. Spence, bravo).
3. Kids. Cause they act naturally.
4. The fights. There is kicking, bumping, jumping, boxing, BDSM elements, sword fighting, knife fighting, archery, and many more. Come, see, try, purchase.
I wonder where I should apply for them to include spear fighting (something naginata-like) and Ms. Lawless' cameo?
5. The idea to continue. I hope the second season will make more sense as the crew will get more adapted with the thing.
And finally, the last, but not least. I simply do not know where to put it. Legend of the Seeker is probably the most 'huggable' series of such format I've ever seen. Someone's constantly hugging someone. Relatives, friends, kids, lovers, sweethearts, ex-lovers, ex-sweethearts, enemies, and other good people who occasionally happen to pass by. Even the ones who suppose to never ever ever EVER do it so often (so as to create teh smexual teeensiooooon).
And oh, almost forgot, hi dear hill-view from Two Towers. Nice to see you again, it's been quite a while since we last met.
